Karina’s Kickin’ Chili

This is a Chili Cook-Off winner. Karina used to make this in large batches for the Hospital Cafeteria. While we’re not big fans of using a bunch of canned goods, it works well for this recipe. We feel it has just the right amount of kick, but of course you can adjust that to your taste.


Our favorite recipe for chili. It's always a hit!

  • 2 Lbs Ground beef
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • ½ Lb Bacon chopped
  • 1 Can Diced green chili
  • 1 Can Enchilada sauce
  • 1 Can Tomato soup
  • 1 Can Kidney beans sometimes I use black beans
  • 1 Can Tomato sauce
  • 1 Can Tomato paste
  • 1 Can Chili
  • 1 Can Mexican diced tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp Garlic fresh or ground
  • 1 Tbsp Chili powder
  • 3 Tbsp Oregano
  • 2 Tsp Pepper
  • 3 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Worchester sauce
  • Tabasco Sauce To Taste


  1. Brown ground beef in a large pot, add onion and chopped bacon and continue to brown. Add all other ingredients and cook covered for about an hour.
  2. Serve in soup bowls and top with a dab of sour crème, some green onions and grated cheese
